I have a new love affair with the Getty Center. Someday they’ll write a love story about us. I think it helped that it was such a nice day, so pretty much every one of my photos turned out perfect with the blue sky juxtaposed against the clean white sharp lines of the buildings. The center sits on top of a hill that I would always pass on the highway, and I longed to check it out with each drive by. The Getty Center is well known for its architecture, gardens, historic art, and views overlooking Los Angeles.

Originally the Getty museum was housed in J. Paul Getty’s house in Pacific Palisades. He built a museum wing to his house , and then later built a replica of an Italian villa to expand his collection even more. once his collection outgrew even that, it was later moved to a newly built Getty Center in Los Angeles. You can still visit his Getty Villa as well to see a completely different collection and architecture style.
